Energy-saving case that improved losses using a cyclone-type steam reforming device.
A large amount of drain was generated, and energy loss became a challenge. Upon investigating the cause, it was found that the steam generated from the regular boiler produced wet steam with low dryness, resulting in a significant amount of drain in the piping. Therefore, a cyclone-type steam reforming device was introduced. The dry steam sent to the secondary steam header is less likely to turn into drain during transportation to the factory, allowing it to be supplied to steam-using equipment and machinery in very good condition. After the introduction, we successfully achieved a cost reduction of 18% (over 10,000,000 yen annually).
